Peggy Maerz

Peggy prefers beating up a partner in the Bulldog’s boxing ring to dancing. As a previous dancing class drop out, she has instead developed her own unique “Peggy style” of dance. But she’s game to give it another chance and get out of her comfort zone to show off to our live audience. After all, she asks others to step out of their comfort zone for her Hit2Fit annual fundraiser, so she figured she’d better be willing to step up and support Shuswap Hospice when asked. She loves hiking, cycling, playing with her two rescue dogs and kayaking in the Shuswap.

Instructor Simone Goerner

has been dancing since she was four years old and has been an instructor for 18 years. Simone has performed her whole life from Germany to the Shuswap. She loves all styles of dancing, but particularly loves hip hop because it is such a high-energy dance. And she needs all that energy because, in addition to teaching, Simone is a mother to two young boys while at the same time being a property manager in Salmon Arm and running a hobby farm and Bed & Breakfast operation.
