Jens, Heather and City Dance Studio are proud to be the presenting sponsor of Shuswap Hospice’s 2026 Dancing with the Shuswap Stars!

Established in Vernon in 2012, City Dance has become the go-to dance studio for group and private Tango, Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Country and Wedding lessons. Owners Jens Goerner and Heather Stranks have many years of professional dance instruction experience between them.
Heather had a career as a figure skating coach and is a gold level ice dancer. She now applies her choreography talents to the dance floor and loves teaching their students and the studios’ multiple performance groups.
Jens is extensively trained in Germany, owned a studio in Munich before emigrating, and has a wealth of knowledge in all dance styles. When he’s not teaching dance, you will find him on the ski hill as he is also a former ski racer!
