Missy McIntosh

Missy, a wonderful make-up artist, grew up in the Shuswap. She and her husband, also a local Shuswap product, moved away for awhile, but came back to raise a family. Missy feels blessed to be living in the Shuswap because the people are amazing and incredibly supportive. She is happy to support the Larch Hills and has had a lot of fun going there with her son every year with his school for a winter fun day.

Missy is known in the Okanagan and Shuswap for her amazing make-up artistry. She recently gave a demonstration at the Salmon Arm Library of the make-up that she did for Opera Kelowna’s performances of Mozart’s the “Magic Flute”. The make-up was complete with eye-feathers to make the character look like a bird. So, even though Missy is very familiar with theatre and has a huge passion for the arts, she has never danced or performed on stage. Other than taking dancing classes in grade eight to ten PE, learning the “Hustle” will be her first foray into dance lessons. She doesn’t have a favourite style of dance and admits that she is eclectic and likes a bit of everything.

Missy is honored to be a part of this fund raiser as it gives her an opportunity to give back to our wonderful community. Thanks, Missy, and we look forward to your performance.
