The father-daughter duo of Marty and Lauren van der Pauw come into this event with some
dance under their belt. Lauren’s a student at JL Jackson, but also studies dance regularly at
Shuswap Dance Center. Marty hasn’t ever danced onstage, but has spent many hours watching
dance competitions, so he knows what he’s in for!
As the part-owners of Nico’s Nurseryland, Marty and his wife Kimberley are often busy with the
garden centres in Salmon Arm and Blind Bay. But these 25-year residents of Salmon Arm also
make time enjoy the Shuswap lifestyle ? camping, hiking, going to Silverbacks games and
eating ice cream at the wharf along with Lauren and their son, Jacob.
