Herman and Linda moved to Canada 16 years ago from South Africa. They have a great deal of gratitude towards Canada because the “country has accepted us as one of its own”. They have a deep love for the community of Salmon Arm. They love to spend time here because it is such a beautiful place. They spend as much time as they can in their boat on Shuswap Lake where their boys like to fish. They often help or donate to fund raisers that are close to their hearts. They also love to help small businesses and organizations. Dancing with the Shuswap Stars met their criteria as a worthwhile event to support. Contributing to their community is a very important part of their lives. While they haven’t had the need for Hospice Services, they will appreciate the new chalet at Larch Hills because their children love to snowshoe and cross country ski there.

Herman and Linda have never performed before a live audience, but they do enjoy ballroom dancing. As youngsters they loved to dance, but never took lessons. They have three boys that keep them very busy with hockey, soccer and mountain biking. Linda and Herman started a business four years ago – Chadalin Medispa. In their spare time – really, they have spare time? – Herman loves to relax on the golf course and Linda loves photography and scrap booking. We look forward to their rendition of the waltz.
