Meet Scott & Brittny,

Scott and Brittny Syme are no strangers to hard work or giving back. When asked to take part in Dancing with the Shuswap Stars, they didn’t hesitate to support a cause that makes a real difference in the community.

Together, they own and operate Torpichen Farms Ltd. milking 50 organic Jersey cows. Scott is also a professional engineer/owner/operator of Syme Structural Engineering Ltd. He is a fifth-generation Salmon Arm farmer and serves as President of the Salmon Arm Farmers’ Society, while both he and Brittny are active with the Shuswap Agricultural Association.

Life on the farm keeps them busy, but they enjoy family bike rides, camping, and spending time outdoors whenever they can with their three children.

Brittny has a little dance experience from high school, while Scott happily admits he’s “a lost cause.” Their goal is simple: have fun, step outside their comfort zones, raise as much as possible for the Shuswap Hospice Society, and prove that enthusiasm counts just as much as dance moves.
